Acne is a skin condition that occurs mainly in adolescence, although this doesn’t mean that other ages are excluded. It’s mainly provoked due to the body’s reaction to large amounts of hormones (testosterone), bacteria in addition to common allergies to various foods. Other factors that are to some extent related and may trigger common acne are diet, excessive sebum secretion, as well as the accumulation of dead skin cells due to lack of face cleansing.
What is best for an oily and acne prone skin is to keep it clean, protected from germs, and well hydrated. We need to be extremely meticulous with the cleansing and caring procedure of this type of skin, therefore, it is important to use the correct products.
Deep and proper cleansing is the first, and perhaps the most important step, in our face care routine. MACROVITA Deep Cleansing Liquid Soap removes pollutants, makeup and excessive sebum. At the same time, enhances skin’s natural protective barriers and lipids, preventing the growth of microorganisms. Use it daily, morning and evening, for a deep and effective cleansing.
Once we make sure that we have cleansed and dried our face properly, it is time to apply our cream. For the special needs of oily and acne prone skin, choose MACROVITA Oil Balancing Cover Cream. It’s the ideal choice, as it helps the skin to regulate the sebum secretion, the level of moisture and its oiliness. You may apply it at night, topically where necessary, as well as during the day as a makeup cream, to immediately cover the imperfections of the skin.
For better results, we recommend applying, once or twice a week, a face mask suitable for acne prone skin. We love pure, “homemade” masks, and we have secured the best recipe for you!
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
5-6 drops of lemon juice
1 teaspoon MACROVITA Tea Tree Oil
½ teaspoon MACROVITA Lavender Oil
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and stir well until the mixture becomes uniform. Take enough quantity and apply it on the face. Leave on for 15′ and then rinse with lukewarm water.
Honey, in addition to being an excellent means of skin nourishment and hydration, is also an amazing natural antimicrobial. Cinnamon, thanks to its beneficial properties, will soothe your skin from acne inflammations. Tea tree and lavender oils will strengthen your skin’s natural defenses against germs, as well as the healing process. Finally, lemon will fight germs, “wither” the inflamed pimples, cleanse, soothe and tone your skin!
