Have you ever wondered why some people have beautiful, shiny and healthy hair? Certainly, genetic factors along with the hair type play a significant role; they aren’t enough though. Healthy hair is the result of many factors, so don’t get disappointed.
Stay consistent with the following habits and notice the change:
Say goodbye to daily shampooing: It may sound strange, but daily shampooing combined with the harsh cleansing agents contained in many shampoos, removes hair natural oils that keep it strong and shiny. Experts agree that it’s ideal to wash your hair twice a week.
Use haircare products properly: Shampoo and a good hair conditioner are the two basic products that you must use in every hair wash. Many people believe that conditioner weighs hair down, so they avoid its systematic use or omit it completely. However, they unknowledge the fact that -apart from untangling hair and making it easy to comb- conditioner “seals” the scales of hair (i.e., its sheath), allowing it to retain its moisture and elasticity. Choose MACROVITA Hair Conditioner with argan oil & olive oil that moisturizes and softens hair, making it easier to comb, while offering vitality and shine, protecting hair against the harmful effects of the environment and the heat of hair styling tools.
At this point, we must emphasize that it’s important to use these products properly. Shampoo is applied to the entire hair length, although we must focus on the scalp and the roots, where the most oiliness accumulates. On the other hand, conditioner is never applied to the roots, but to the lengths and especially to the ends, i.e., to the points where there is more dryness and predisposition for split ends.
Avoid styling tools: Frequent use of styling tools, which work at very high temperatures, afflicts and weakens hair. To be precise, it weakens and dehydrates keratin, the basic protein of hair. If you can’t avoid their use, at least limit it to the minimum.
Make proper nutrition your ally: When looking to adopt solutions and habits for healthy hair, do not forget that nutrition plays substantial role. Include in your diet foods that are rich in iron, calcium, omega-3 fats and protein, such as salmon, spinach, lentils, red fruits, yogurt, avocados, nuts and eggs. These healthy options can “stimulate” the hair follicles, helping hair to grow, while preventing hair loss and scalp dryness.
Trust your hairdresser: It’s true that many people will not budget for a frequent haircut, considering it as a luxury. However, it’s worth giving this present to yourself, in order to keep your hair healthy. Schedule a haircut appointment at least once every 3 months to trim split ends, which make hair look thin and weak.
