Tea tree oil is an essential oil with a golden-yellow color and a strong aroma. It is mainly known for its antiseptic, antifungal and antimicrobial properties.
Manufactured and used in Australia for centuries to treat skin infections, today it has a wide range of uses. You may find it as an ingredient in various products, such as soaps, anti-lice shampoos, creams, etc., while it’s excellent for daily use as an additional treatment of the face, body, hair as well as nails.
Tea Tree Oil MACROVITA is dermatologically tested and can be used directly on the skin individually or blended with other essential oils or products. Among its various benefits, tea tree oil is considered extremely helpful in cases such as:
Acne: It is scientifically proven that the use of tea tree oil can effectively contribute to the care of acne prone skin. Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, it will stop the growth of the acne bacterium while, at the same time, it will help in the healing of the scars left by acne. Try to apply it topically using a cotton swab.
Fungal infections of the nails: Tea tree oil, thanks to its antimicrobial properties, will stop the growth of fungi on the nails. If your nails are prone to fungal infections, you may – as a precaution – apply it daily.
Dandruff: Tea tree oil will prevent the growth of dandruff fungus on hair and will strengthen its natural defense against bacteria. Massage the scalp for a few minutes, cover with a towel and leave on for 30 minutes, before bathing in lukewarm water. You can repeat the process once a week.
Weak hair: If your hair is damaged or weak, tea tree oil will help it regain its structure. Apply, to dry hair, a few drops to the ends. Wrap in a towel and leave it overnight. Shampoo well in the morning. For better results, you can repeat this process every 10 to 15 days.
Flu and cold symptoms: Tea tree oil relieves the symptoms related to cough and cold. Rub 3 to 4 drops of diluted tea tree oil on your chest before going to bed and take advantage of its beneficial properties!
At last, it’s worth noticing that tea tree oil is meant for external use only, while before using it extensively, try on a small area of your skin, to rule out the probability of an allergic reaction.
