Our hair -just like our skin- needs care and protection. Sun exposure, daily hairstyle, dyes and styling products “ravage” it, making it dry, brittle and dull. Although it’s impossible to avoid completely all these factors that “burden” the health of our hair, there are certain ways to protect it. Which are these ways? Choose the right products: It’s important to use shampoos and conditioners properly designed for your own needs, as their specialized composition will restore moisture, protect and at the same time strengthen the scalp.
Comb your hair carefully: Dry and damaged hair is particularly brittle and prone to form split ends. Hasty and abrupt combing can aggravate the problem, so comb your hair slowly and gently.
Use heaters in moderation: Α well-prepared hairstyle definitely renews the mood and boosts our self-confidence, however, you should give some space between your hairstyles. Let your hair in its natural form and don’t submit it daily to conditions that afflict and destroy it (e.g., styling products, heat appliances).
Repair mask: Dry and damaged hair is “thirsty” for moisture and needs intensive treatment to restore its lost shine. Apply a hair mask with honey, egg yolk, avocado oil and macadamia oil every 10 to 15 days. Honey, thanks to its moisturizing properties, will restore normal moisture, while egg yolk, rich in protein, will help to regenerate damaged keratin, the main protein in the structure of hair. At the same time, avocado and macadamia oils, ideal for dry hair, will hydrate and nourish it deeply. You will need:
Mix all the ingredients into a bowl, until the mixture becomes uniform, and apply sufficient quantity to your hair from root to ends. Leave on for 20-30′ and then rinse off with plenty of water. To remove it easier, apply a small amount of shampoo onto your palm and massage your scalp before wetting it with water.
